Superb storytelling
This is the film that created Robert Eggers' reputation, and remains the best thing he has done. Wonderfully atmospheric, with great performances from Anya Taylor-Joy and Ralph Ineson, it treats its audience with respect - not just providing a stock series of "jump cuts" but offering a story that is unnervingly horrifying on multiple levels.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Not What I Was Expecting
This movie was brought to my attention after watching a preview of it... I am a massive Thriller/Horror movie buff and it looked intriguing... The story line was new, the characters were likeable - when something happened to them you felt for them. The characters that you meant to like, you did. The characters you weren't meant to like, you didn't. Any movie as well that has children in it in this genre is also a touch more scary than normal...
