I have been using this product for many more years than I care to remember. All I would say is that I have used a lot more than I would do for body repairs. It is so versatile and of course as you can control setting time you can work on it more or less right away. The standard of finish is often better than the piece you are working on. I see Isopon as a multipurpose product. I use it to repair a wooden door frame in my house but most people use it to repair car bodywork.
We have used it for an outside repair to the wooded door frame of our conservatory. We probably should have used plastic wood or wood filler but I do not find that product tough enough to withstand sun, rain and freezing temperatures.
