Good little set of poles. Just treat accordingly.

These were £20 (inc VAT and delivery) that to me is bloody incredible. What you get is a set of four lightweight poles; which if you don't behave like a buffoon and try to stamp into hard ground will work just fine. Materials are light, (remember £20 all in), but this is great for lugging across fields... so there's the big up-side. If you want thick heavy poles you can 'stamp on' then pay £100 and stop whining about it. Collapsed they are 107 cm (about 185 cm fully extended), so plenty of height and weigh a total of 2KG (just under 4 1/2 lbs in old money), so can go into your bag without any real issues. The design is good and they work well; just go easy with them and they will be fine; I would suggest pushing in by hand rather than using the foot pegs, (which will snap off.) Can't complain with the design, the cost or the fact that mine were delivered within 48hrs!

  • Most critical review

Light weight but not strong atall

Used these poles twice. Lovely and light weight, the extra hooks mid way are very usefull. But on the second use, the kick bar broke off instantly and split the pole open at the bottom. Very Dissapointed.

  • No good on hard ground

Difficult to drive them into hard ground .The small piece on the bottom that you put your foot on to push them in to the ground beaks of, the welding is inadequate

  • Not what I expected

When the poles arrived I had to re-thread the extender tightening thread. And when I had them fixed and put them to use they bend with 2 very thin nets on them in the slightest bit of breeze. So paying a few extra quid for a thicker pole of higher quality is definitely the best option.

  • Poor poles

Very disappointed with my purchase. The poles are flimsy and snap where the little cross bar is welded for your foot to push the pole in. The ground isn’t particularly hard where I shoot either. The welding is weak and the metal of the poles are to soft and thin.
