Excellent Quality
This is a Mazda original part that I bought for a Mk4 RF and it has met my expectations in full. It brightens up the plastic lower door frame trim no end and hopefully it will add protection too. The kit comes with two small alcohol-impregnated cleaning wipes, two small ‘adhesive enhancer’ sponges and fixing is by way of adhesive tape pre-attached around the edges of the product. You also receive two sheets of paper from which you cut templates to tape to the plastic frame trim. The latter is intended to stop the adhesive enhancer going on to the plastic trim that will not be covered by the product as this has a similar effect to glue that you use on plastic toy kits. However, the product is easy to locate correctly on the plastic trim and although you should follow the manufacturer’s instructions, I found it easier to use some blu-tac to position the product, then surround it carefully with masking tape (you can place this 1mm or so under the edge) to avoid damage to the plastic that will be exposed. You can then remove the blu-tac’d product, apply the enhancer to the trim, roughly corresponding with the adhesive strips, leave 2/3 mins, remove most of the masking tape other than the leading edge to assist in locating the product and then locate the product in place. Remove final masking tape and the protective film on the product and job done.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Personally I positioned the plates using the smaller of the templates drew around it with French chalk and glued it within the mark rather than using the larger glue guide template. The instructions are simple to follow and installation is pretty straightforward, with reference to the includes diagrams etc. Cleaning wipes and adhesive promoter wipes are provided to ensure good adhesion to the original plastic sills. Look great when fitted.
