Don't think Thule is your only option
I've yet to use it properly (hence only 4 stars), but in my current experience it is already as good as a Brand name such as Thule.
Weight/build quality. Yes it is heavier due to steel rather than Aluminium, But it is a good 'weight' as the construction is strong and it doesn't flex.
Materials; quality thick metals for the frame/chassis and plastics for housings and other areas. All of the quality you expect and that should weather well being outdoors and getting mucky.
It folds up into a 'small' neat package when not in use. This makes it much easier to store in the car, or the shed at home when not in use.
Bike mounting:
Most bike carriers aren't made for 'proper' MTB with 29" wheels. This comes with adapter plates to ensure they fit and are supported. Easy to clip on and off and wide too, for those large tyres. The wheel straps are nicely long and ratchet into metal clips securely located on the base. The frame arm is not a great feature but it only holds it in place and is not structural. I normally use an extra strap around the frame and the carrier, and this has one built in! So that again, is one less thing i need to worry about. It is also long so would wrap around both bikes if needed.
Only down side i have on this is the lockable towbar; yes you lock it to the car. But, the Allan bolt to adjust the width is left open, so anyone could simply unwind it and remove it from the vehicle . . . .
Overall very impressed so far, and hope it continues like this
