Great finish but needs 2 coats
This paint is a bit thin so a single coat as recommended isn't sufficient. However, 2 coats gives great coverage and a good sheen to the finish without being glossy. You need to stir it regularly as it seems to settle out fairly quickly but it's worth it for the finish. Shiny cylinder black
It is probably just a little too glossy to be considered "Satin Finish" in my opinion, it is certainly more glossy than cylinder black I have used in the past. I haven't seen how it performs on a working engine yet but it goes on well.

Satin finish - just the job!
Did the job fine, painting over my Mountfield SP550 lawnmower engine. The Satin finish is much better than the spray Matt. It's having it's winter service right now, so will start it up next week and hopefully paint applied will stick and perform as expected on hot surfaces.
