For better WiFi coverage at home
These three plastic cylinders are amazing. I struggled to get WiFi downstairs in the further room from my Wireless router, so I bought one of these and revolutionised my home. Plugged the first one into the router and set it up using the Google WiFi app on my phone. I actually turned off WiFi on my wireless router and gave the Google WiFi the same SSID and WPA2 passphrase. I confirmed that multiple wireless devices could connect seamlessly to it and access the internet without doing anything else. Next, I unpacked the second one and took it downstairs. All it needs is a power point to connect to. It quickly lit up and my app wanted to set it up on the existing mesh network. Same deal for the third one. Finally, a quick press of TEST MESH on the app gave me suggestions on positioning and all up, after about 20 minutes, I now have a perfectly working WiFi mesh network running across my entire house and into the yard. Other cool features in the app like identifying connected devices and even setting time limits for access on certain devices is brilliant. Now I can force the kids off their devices when I want to, simply by enabling a schedule. If you are having problems with WiFi coverage, get a Google WiFi kit. If you have trouble getting decent wifi, try this fantastic product .....
My residence is double brick throughout, including internal walls, with mesh reinforcing concreted into the walls. Further it has three phase power, split between floors and within floors (ie each floor has multiple phases of electricity). This makes for a nightmare with any other wifi range extenders and/or wifi via power point. I have been down that path twice before, only to end up returning the products. Google Wifi mesh works and works easily and well. The wifi signal is stronger, even in the most remotest parts of the house via the mesh than even the original modem. So easy to set up, an absolute dream. Plug in each unit, it does its thing and sets everything up, cycles through the wifi protocols, decides which is best and et vola. Simple to setup, the Google WiFi has worked flawlessly. I now have coverage everywhere in my 2 story house and performance has noticeably improved over the standard ISP router. Only 10 minutes to improve your WiFi.
This was the easiest WiFi improvement to set up. Took all of 10 minutes. Hardest part was to pick a spot to put each unit. They look cool. The app is easy to use and provides just enough info. Its not for the tech type wanting to have control of all of the settings. Its excellent value for money. Google home wifi
Having a wide spread floorplan, multi level with brick walls my wifi was a pain to deal with. I tried repeaters and extenders but the fact you change wifi you would drop when in games. Best purchase ever
This is the only thing that worked to extend our internet range and it was super easy to set up. I had previously tried powerline adapters, range extenders & linking two routers without success. Excellent - Great coverage and support for a large number of devices
