ALMOST PERFECT
Returned my Shark Rotator 'for pets' because the hair completely wrapped around the beaterbrush. Upgraded to the Apex w/ zero-m... PROS: powerful incredible suction no hair tangled around the brush good size dust bin long cord cheaper than comparable dyson CONS: THE HOSE! Shark made the house so tight that it is almost impossible to use the wand to dust etc, The hose is so tight it is literally ridiculous... you won't be getting it to stretch more than a couple feet! THE ATTACHMENTS! The dusting attachment is literally useless because the 'strands' are only about an inch long. forget trying to get into a tight space to dust with it! THE WAND/HOSE SIZE! SO Shark decided that greed was king, so they made their wand/hose sizes different from almost EVERY other vacuum out there. They want to force you to buy THEIR attachments. Forget about using any attachment from other vacuums that you have around the house...99% won't fit. Desperately searching the web for an adapter so i can get an extension hose & non-shark attachments to fit. The pros win... but the cons are major. It could be better
I bought this to replace a Dyson pet vacuum. It is a little lighter and picks up very well. But it dose not clean the brush completely like advertised, the cord is shorter and the dirt container is about half the size. If you have pets, get this vacuum
I do animal rescue work and cope with a LOT of pet hair. This vacuum has three floor surface settings which allows me to adjust the roller height to match the area being cleaned. It has good suction and a decent sized debris cup so I can cover more territory without needing to stop to empty it. The power cord is extra long, and that also helps get the job done more quickly. The lift-away feature provides a wider range of options for cleaning a larger variety of spaces and places. The light on the front of the machine provides enough illumination to assist in seeing tumbleweeds of pet hair that might otherwise go undetected. I've only had the machine for a few weeks, so I can't speak to its durability and lifespan, but given its performance in the early going, I am very pleased with it and trust that it will provide exceptional service for many years to come.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Love the Shark Apex
I really like this vacuum. I can't believe the suction it has and it adjusts itself as to the type if carpet you are vacuuming. It is rather heavy, though, but it does pull itself forward, you just have to pull it back. The one thing I'm not too crazy about is emptying the canister as it is rather messy at times. It is rather heavy and the cable not long enough to cover the whole house (one floor), I need to unplug and moved to different outlet. Love My New Shark!
This vacuum is so much better than my Dyson! The removable canister that allows you to vacuum under furniture is a game changer! The vacuum is much ligher than my old dyson. The attachments are easy to use...and the electronic pet fur remover is magical! Additionally, the ability to change from hard surface to carpet is right at your thumb...and you don't even need to turn off the vacuum!
