the twin bt 4600 with answer machine came promptly and in good condition. It works perfectly , although I did not use the answer base as I use the phones with my own original answer machine base . Incidentally it was easy to register the new phones to my existing base. The phones come with installed batteries but they appear to be old batteries and require new batteries which are now in place. ok but not great. Needs better design.
It's seems more complicated and opaque in design than it needs to be. It is clunky and ugly in design and completely without grace. And it only has a few ring tones - though I can't imagine why. Best phone I have had especially as hearing is going downhill. A lot clearer than the last ones and the ring tone is a lot louder at full belt. At eighty three the larger and very clear buttons are a great help, I don't have to have my glasses on to make a call !! Handsets have a nice comfortable shape and weight, if there was a downside to "normal" users it is the size of the unit. It is larger than most phones now with modern technology. Good value telephone set.
A well made and fairly robust, cable free (except for the chargers and base station) set of three handsets. There were no manuals with my set but a visit to Google soon fixed that and the the operation became fairly easy to understand. The display is adequate for a standard house-phone although not suitable for displaying photos. The letters on the screen are distinct and easy to read even without the backlight. The audio volume level is adjustable and adequate with a loudspeaker option easily selected even in the middle of a call. There are multiple other features with which I am not yet familiar. Good for bad sight
I returned the first twin set as there was a lot of voice noise. However, the replacement was the same but I found that holding the handset away from the mouth cleared this problem. The large buttons and script are a boon for bad eyesight and also for setting up and using the different functions which were easy.
