Great Value but wasn't informed about the packing disposal
Love the simplistic design and the surface finish. I thought it was going to be stainless steel but in fact is a plastic coating over metal and seems very durable and easy to keep clean. Saying that, there were two small dents near the top of the refrigerator door but, to their credit, AO agreed to send out a man (plus new door) which should be installed tomorrow. The fridge is OK but a little small for me. The pre-set temperatures (5 & minus 18 degrees) are not low enough for my flat which is warm all the time. But this is easily resolved by the easy access to the simplistic control panel on the exterior. The freezer seems more than adequate and once I had found out the optimum temperature, things went well. This unit is also a lot less noisier that my old Samsung American style fridge and the exterior surfaces are not warm to the touch as my my old one was. Altogether this is a good value fridge which fits in well with any contemporary kitchen. My one real niggle was that when the delivery men arrived they just left it with all the packaging in my smallish kitchen. When I contacted AO about the damage, they told me there is a small charge for unwrapping and taking away all the mess. Had I seen this advertised I would have done that as there is a LOT of wrapping. There is also a £30 (I think) charge for taking away and disposing of your old fridge-a service I might have used only the instructions for installation said that you had to let the unit stand for a couple of hours and then when switched on you had to wait for the optimum temperatures to be reached. This took about an hour and a half. Not good for frozen goods.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
