VW Polo bush puller
I bought this set to do a pair of subframe bushes on an ‘05 polo. The kit out of the box seemed up to the job and professional. However when getting ready to remove the bush I realised the flat boss to pull it through with was slightly oversized when sat in the lip in the aluminium casting. Luckily, I have use of a lathe and turned it down. I know these aluminium castings are prone to crack and did not want to chance it. Once done i had no trouble pulling it through. I struggled slightly reinstalling the new bush as when putting tension on the bush it kept cockling as the bush wouldn’t sit fully in the puller boss. However after a good few attempts I managed to pull it through. 4/5 stars just down to these little niggly things however without this tool, or making one, I wouldn’t have been able to do the job. I am A Fully qualified and very experienced Mechanic and I think this is an Excellent piece of kit. As good as Sealey/Draper in quality and functionality. I used this kit to do the console bushes on a VW Polo GTI and thanks to this kit and My Ability I was able to complete the job quickly and efficiently, also I Did it in situ only removing the suspension arms.
