Perfect Size for Two
I love the size of the 3 quart pressure cooker. It is ideal for the two of us. I have a 3 quart instant pot Lux but I wanted the Duo. I can now cook two different things at one time! I won the bid for this dented pot. That is only cosmetic. I needed the easy way to make yogurt and a smaller machine. I have another brand's 6 quart pot. There isn't a yogurt button. I love this Instant Pot! I've used it every day since it arrived. My Favorite Kitchen Appliance
I bought one of these for myself and liked it so much that I got one for my daughter and granddaughters for Christmas. It is a very versatile addition to your kitchen because it cooks in so many different ways: slow cooker, pressure cooker, rice cooker, yogurt maker, etc. The really nice thing is that it has settings for meat, soups and stews, etc. I would recommend this to anyone who is new to cooking and there are inexpensive recipe and how to books on line that you can buy and all sorts of recipes out there too! The Duo Mini is a godsend!
I used it for the first time tonight and already know that I'll be relying on it for years and years. VERY easy to use! For a comfort level, read the instructions so you'll understand the stages that it takes to do the pressure-cooking. But WOW! Once the product is well known--after a few days--one can discover all the uses of this well-made pot. Steam, slow cooking, sauté, soup, it does it all. It is somewhat intelligent, although some indications are lacking that would apparently be easy to implement (inside temperature would be nice, more feedback messages, lit up front panel, a LED display more informative than just "ON" or "OFF.") Even though I thought I ordered a 6qt I got a 3 qt. My mistake, but it turned out this is just the right size, as there is only 3 of us, and there is always some leftover. Read the directions and learn the functions, then start cooking. You really can cook frozen chicken breasts and rice, and have perfect rice and juicy chicken.
