The best herbicide for Florida lawns
I’ve used both Blindside and Celsius on my St. Augustine grass and Blindside wins hands down for control of sedges, creeping violet, crabgrass, and many other Florida weeds. The only reservation is that it must be applied when the temperature is in the 70’s to low 80’s. Otherwise, at the recommended concentration of 0.23 oz/1000 sq feet, the St. Augustine will stress out and look ragged for a few weeks. It doesn’t permanently kill the grass if applied according to directions, but if the application is near 90 degrees and several hot days follow, the lawn will look stressed until it recovers.
