Honda quality, and very versitile, what could be better?
Honda is legendary quality. This set up is actually two generators which can be used separately or tied together for over 4000 watts of power. Good for camping or for when whatever happens and the lights and airconditioner goes out. They are quality, start easy, and should last for many years. Louder than I’d like...

Still the best small portable generator, but it is a bit pricey.
The Honda EU2200i is a great, although somewhat costly, small portable generator. It's VERY quiet compared to the competition, starts easily, and has some nice added features such as a 12VDC outlet, "run dry" shut off setting (to empty the carburetor), and a neat economy mode that adjusts the speed of the generator to match the attached load requirements. A couple of minor issues: 1) The gas tank is small, just under a gallon so the purchase of an extension tank is a requirement if you plan to use the Honda as a back-up generator during times when the grid is down, 2) Even the most recent model that I purchased (this is my fourth) is under a safety recall, this time for a potential short circuit issue that seems to only occur when the generator is exposed to salt water. My prior units also require recall work for a gasoline leak problem. Finding a local Honda dealer who will perform the recall service is a challenge. Even with these minor annoyances this is still the generator to beat if you want a quiet, reliable unit and don't mind the rather stiff price.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great generator for situations needing very quiet generator!
Used generator with our camper during 10 day trip recently. Ran perfectly and supplied full power for camper. Could run lights, AC, microwave, water pump simultaneously. Campground required generators with less than 60 db sound, and our generators seemed much quieter than others around us. Good gas consumption with power saver on. Expensive but hopefully justifiably so, generator
Typical well made Honda product. As far as is it a good value?...maybe. It's far and away the most expensive generator this size I could find on the market so only if it is completely trouble free will I know if it's a better value than say a Yamaha powered generator for half the price. Broke it in with a number of oil changes in short time spans and got a magnetic dip stick to catch the abundant metal shavings in the unfiltered oil. Honda should put an hour meter on the generator and a better oiling system but I have high hopes to get through the fire related power outages here in Calif. as it is.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Lightweight and great machine-Quit !
pros.Great buy, very quiet,lightweight easy to load and unload in my camper. direct plug in for my camper. has a feature so you can run the gas out of the carb so as not to have fuel in the carb to gunk it up. the only con i had would be adding or draining the oil you have to tip the gen. other wise very good machine,Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
