Extremely small, lightweight and accurate !!
I bought this small gadget to help me deal with a positioner. I found it to be extremely accurate and with excellent repeatability. For my needs, 0.1 accuracy is accepted. I am really impressed how accurate it is. It has a small footprint make it possible to attach it on small objects. The magnets are great. I had a flat, zeroed table on the shop and I zeroed it on that surface. After that, I was able to test the angle on the parts I wanted. I was able to test the accuracy of a rotating table and I was able to fine tune the gears. The downside is the screen, difficult to read it from an angle. It is not backlited, but that's ok. Based on a pendulum, I prefer it against the electronic gyro ones. I think it is more accurate than the MEMS, specially in this price range. Therefore it needs some time (few secs) for the reading to be stabilized, if the object is moving fast or have vibrations. I choose this version (not ver2) because of the pendulum and I am pleased with this meter. It came with two coin lithium batteries, after a month still works. So can't tell how long it lasts. Amazing value for money.
I really can't find fault with this device. I had a Moore and Wright version which fell off the tool-grinder table and ceased to function! It cost 3 times the Wixey as was no better. This Wixey has a magnetic base and so won't be falling off an inclined surface. It was also delivered a day earlier than promised. Very pleased.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
