Connector Kit Works Great
I take a lot of photos on my regular (non-phone) cameras and I was trying to figure out a way to get the pictures backed up while I am on trips. After researching some different options, I settled on using an old iPad 3 in the house. I figured if I could get the photos to the iPad 3, I can use the iPad 3 to upload my photos to my online photo storage site. I could use my camera Wifi to transfer the photos to the iPad. But I wanted to have another option and remember the iPad Camera Connection Kit was sold previously. With the kit, you just pluf in your SD Card and connect the kit to the iPad and you can save your photos to the iPad photo libary. From there, I can use an app to upload to my photo storage. Needs powered hub. Won't work without it
Disappointed; I wanted to use this to move things off and on the iphone from an 'on the go' usb drive. Won't work, 1st gen ipad and 3gs iphone give the error message that there isn't enough power to work the usb drive. If I'm going to have to plug the phone into the computer, may as well use itunes. Genuine Apple

A Rare but Much-Needed Feat
It does as it says in the booklet. But there is more to it than it lets on. With it, I am also able to connect a USB camera or microphone for higher-quality video streaming or singing karaoke. This is still a telling sign that Apple mobile devices always tend to lack a traditional means of media sharing through the wire without putting a price on it. Regardless, with what this kit provides, I don't have to worry about bringing things to and from an iPhone over USB and SD cards again.

Easy to use. Works GREAT!
My iPad is the first generation, no camera, no more system updates possible, very few apps available for it anymore. So I decided to use it for my photos that I want to take with me. However, getting them from the camera to the iPad was a challenge. Until I ordered this item! Easy to use and works great. Even though I was able to email the photos to my iPad, when there are 50 or so on the camera, it is way too many for an email. This little gem handles it with ease! Makes uploading photos very easy and quick
I was recently gifted an old ipad2. As a photographer, this product is perfect for me to connect my camera cord into my ipad2 and upload whatever shots I want. Also I can use an SD card. It eliminates the need for dropbox or icloud, because I like to keep my photos private without a 3rd party host. This product makes it so easy and fast to upload my photos. Highly recommend.
