RTR???!!! RTR can not stand for READY TO RUN.... far, far away from ready to run.
First of all you will need to buy an additional set: glow plug lighter, charger, fuel... this, OK, no problem... the real issue is the engine tuning and break in period (5 tanks of fuel)... I suggest you watch the YouTube videos on these processes before you spend $269 PLUS the starter kit (another $49 or so)... it's a lot of work to tune in that engine and if not tuned properly then you'll have no fun... it'll die as soon as give it some gas, or idle to hard to the point that the car takes off on itself, or just erratic acceleration... also I had to take apart the front wheels and align them... again... A good truck buggy
For what it is a good buggy to play with, it will need some adjustments made to help but if you want to run like it is it will work, to help it last check and adjust the brake also the throttle check all the mount screws for frame and engine. I went one extra the fuel line route also servo arm to link pin location for brake/throttle too much, but that is me. Started was rich leaned out low then high to get to run better, high is still a little rich but ok for run, run on the road nice steers quick big tires help in grass. Do not listen to all the bs people are saying about Redcat products.
I don't usually write reviews, but I am one that likes to give up and coming companies a chance. I did not receive anything to write this review. 1) There are only a few manufacturers of parts (these companies share parts) so stop wasting your money on the name brands. 2) This hobby is expensive and takes a person that is mechanically inclined and don't mind showing tlc. 3) Be smart, these are toys. You are gonna break suspension parts if you jump it 5ft in the air. Save you're money, buy this car. Parts are readily available at Redcat, eBay, or Amazon.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Redcat is not traxxas.
