Squirrel Proof Feeder that works
Works great! We have had squirrel problems for years and they ate 90% of the bird food. It didn't take long for the squirrels to realize the feeder works. They do a cute dance when they're reminded there is an electric shock administered if they try to get the bird food. Don't know how long the battery lasts, we've had the unit for 2-3 months and it still has its charge. The one thing I was concerned about was how the bear would treat it, but since it's within a fenced area the bear have remained outside, it's still safe. My other mechanical squirrel proof feeder was mangled by a bear, but that wasn't inside the fenced area. I recommend this feeder.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

I just purchased my third one in the last 11 years. I think the idea of keeping squirrels from eating the seed works most of the time. Best Squirrel Resistant Feeder
This is the best squirrel resistant bird feeder I have ever used. It lasts at least several years before requiring replacement. Some “squirrel resistant” feeders I have purchased have lasted less than a week. I buy the electric model, since it seems to do the best at warding off squirrels. It also has plenty of room for large birds such as the red belly woodpecker, as well as smaller birds. I have noticed 12 birds simultaneously using this feeder. Holds a good amount of seed and no squirrels have eaten any of it!
We have a squirrel problem - big time. My husband spent a couple of weeks (and several squirrel-proof feeders) trying to discourage these squirrels. We hesitated to spend more money on another feeder but the idea of shocking a squirrel was too much for my husband to forget! This feeder did not disappoint! The squirrels do not bother this feeder. Conquers squirrels!
I love this feeder! This is our third one. The only negative is the the ports are extremely hard to successfully install. We were only able to get the bottom tier secured. Wish the portals were unedible
I really like this product. I've bought 3 of them. It really helps keep the squirrels off. But the ones who figure out how to avoid the shock, eat the portals out when the seed is low or if there is seed they prefer they can't reach.
