In chemistry, iodine is an isomer for many chemical reactions. It is, therefore, one of the most important mineral supplements in the body,being utilized for a good many of the biological processes that take place in our bodies on a continual basis. Unless we have a diet very high in seaweed, it is near impossible to maintain a sufficient quantity of this precious mineral in our bodies for it's ongoing processes. I ran out of the product recently and have been using Lugolds Solution instead. This product has very strong iodine flavour and is, therefore, quite unpleasant to swallow.
