My son bought this with his fair share of some earnings and he likes it enough to play with it every day. This is not double action. You must cock the hammer back prior to squeezing the trigger each time, so the spring-air system becomes primed, so an intense burst of air can propel the BB. It performs as advertised, even with his extremely old 6 mm plastic BB's. So far he has obeyed range safety rules, has not loaded it indoors, and shall continue to do so. Cylinder automatically rotates to the next chamber. Upon locking the hammer back, the trigger moves to the rear of the trigger guard and then has a short smooth light trigger pull.
