The Samsung Galaxy S music player is a digital media player that uses the Android 2.3 operating system. Similar to the Samsung Galaxy line of cell phones, this Samsung 8 GB MP3 player is equipped with a 3.65-inch, HVGA TFT display with a screen resolution of 480x320 pixels. It is powered by a 1 GHz Samsung Hummingbird processor. Storage for the Samsung Galaxy S music player is handled by an 8 GB hard drive. However, the buyer can add additional storage of up to 32 GB to this digital media player with the use of a compatible microSD card. This Samsung 8 GB MP3 player supports most audio, video, and image formats, and it comes equipped with a radio function as well as music applications. The player features a social hub that provides buyers with easy access to Facebook, Twitter, and MySpace. Users can also synchronize their calendars with friends through this feature. Internet connectivity for this Samsung 8 GB MP3 player is available through the integrated 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi. Bluetooth 3.0 technology and a USB connection are included as well for linking to other devices. This player measures 3 inches wide by 5.56 inches high by 0.46 inches thick and weighs 4 oz.

Excellent music player
Getting to the end of its usability, though, since the Android OS is old and can't have upgrades because of memory issues. Mine runs Amazon Kindle, VLC music player and Opera web browser, the only one the player can now handle. It will also handle gmail.

So far, everything works well. Bluetooth is a definite PLUS. Bought a memory card for it so that I have plenty of space for storage. Perfect size to carry around, yet pretty easy to read the screen, and fits into the hot tub/spa device/music waterproof compartment without issue. Pretty easy to figure out. Full user manual available online, which is pretty easy to understand also. I would definitely recommend it. I saw lots of rave reviews on it before I purchased it. I am anti-Apple after purchase of my first Samsung Galaxy. I HATE Itunes. No more computer syncs necessary with Samsung, unless you want to do so, of course. This player was purchased for a close family member. The look of it reminds me of a lot of a cell phone. Seems pretty durable as well. A+++

As a lover of Samsung already, I knew their quality would be great. I love this mp3 player. It's a shame that they do not continue with this player. I use this instead of my phone, so I can preserve the battery on my phone. This little device has great sound. Some drawbacks are that it searches for your music longer than I want it to and you can't really change the keyboard to something that is more personalized. That stinks, but I would buy this again. I got the problem fixed with either this one or the other I bought. It was a water damaged player. Which is fine, cheaper deal. Very happy with the purchase.

Galaxy Player WiFi 3.6....Not Happy
The product was purchased for my 9 yr old, and didn't realize how small the screen was......it freezes when he watches videos & on certain games, so we are looking at locating a galaxy player 5.0 with a bigger screen. Thank you!
