Although this product is a little dated as everybody knows knows by now, it has good solid construction, good screen resolution-which lends itself to taking very nice videos and pictures. I actually bought this iPad 3 for creating and recording music. With a 30 pin to USB adapter or an iRig Pro it works well. I haven't experienced any latency when using apps like GarageBand and/or MusicStudio. I'm not sure how many tracks I will be able to record before it starts to slow down and get glitchy, but for now it works great for me to get acceptable sound quality music when coupled with the iRig Pro and travel somewhere. I very much appreciate the fact that I have an affordable 'travel workstation.' Other than that, switching from app to app can be a little bit slow, but otherwise the speed is acceptable considering that it's the third generation of iPads and although it takes quite a while to charge, the battery life is pretty good. Lastly, A WORD ABOUT IRIG PRO: The iRig Pro boasts it's MIDI capabilities with iPads and other Apple devices. Unfortunately, they don't tell you that if you are using the MIDI connection wire, you WILL need a power adapter to power your keyboard. If you are using a USB connection to your iPad, you will absolutely need is 30 pin to USB adapter. You can find this and apples camera connection kit, however you can truly find one cheaper online. Not happy with the battery life of this iPad.
I am happy with the quality of the iPad and all it can do. Just that it won't stay on long enough. Max about 3 hours maybe. Called Apple to see how much a NEW battery would be for it.. and it will cost me an additional $100. So not happy!!!Verified purchase: YesCondition: Refurbished

Paid less and completely happy with this 3rd gen. product.
Got the previously used/ refurbished I-pad 3 today. It looks new and has every function working just as it should. I couldn't justify this purchase with the price of 'new' product, but this is a crazy bargain price on these units. The upgrade to the screen in the 3rd generation is much improved it detail, sharpness and visibility. The camera takes sharp, clear pictures. Does not charge battery
It does not seem to charge the battery and I have purchased another new battery plus a "dock connector" and new digitizer screen leading me to believe that this logic board does cannot power the battery ... I guess this logic board has a defective charging electronics ... perhaps it may have been more professional to send this logic board in a nicely wrapped electronic packaging as anybody who works with old renewed electronics would have some electronic packaging lying around as I do and I am an amateur ... This refurbished logic board came in some old cardboard plus some "Jesus" literature ... I do not mind Christian documentation but there really is a time and a place to reflect and meditate on this but sending some refurbished electronics in this is not appropriate ... As far as Jesus goes, perhaps a re-reading of the sermon on the temple mount starting with the Lord's prayer may be in order i.e. forgive us our trespasses as we forgive others and do not lead others into temptation ...Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
