Entertaining Horror Film
Although this is a fairly low-budget horror film, it is definitely worth a look! If you like a horror film with a high death count then this one is definitely for you. An experienced former army recruit returns to enjoy a weekend's walking with a group of her friends, who turn out to be a motley bunch of girls with varying degrees of experience of the countryside(one of them is an attractive Eastern European model who arrives with all her designer luggage and a menacing boyfriend in tow!). Unfortunately, this does not turn out to be a very happy reunion for any of them, as a story of attrition soon develops - the alarming body count soon reaches double figures, and concludes with a typically nerve-wracking finale set in a suburban swimming pool! Well-known British horror actress Shauna MacDonald(seen in the Descent films)crops up, but, for once, seems to escape a grisly death herself, but her actual appearance here is only fleeting. There is plenty of suspense and lots of bloodthirsty methods of despatching the victims, and the viewer won't quite know who might face death next. Well worth a look!
