Samsung NX11 Digital SLR Camera
Condition of camera and lens is excellent apart from the rear LCD screen which has lots of surface scratches which make it look well used. I thought at first it had a protective film on the screen but I cant get any corners to lift to reveal undamaged screen. Also, there was no front lens cap with the lens, I had to source one online. This camera was described as "Ex Display" and as such I expected it to be as good as new in every sense of the term. I have since found out that this camera was superseded 4 or 5 years ago so I think the price was a little bit high. Lightweight and easy to use
I'll start out saying I'm not an expert, and not good with reviews. Years ago I had a Canon slr 35mm, followed by a few half decent digital compacts. This camera knocks spots off everything I've ever had. It's quite dated now, but that's fine by me - there are more than enough features for me to learn and come to terms with. I'm not concerned with getting heavily into photography, and just want a camera that I point and shoot with, and dabble to greater complexity/creativity levels when I feel the urge. The simple shoot mode gives excellent results - the only thing I miss in that mode is the framing grid, but it's a small minus. For info on the other features, see any of the reviews on the web. I bought my camera second hand (£89 on eBay) and it's probably 5 years old. The battery lasts well enough, but for a small outlay I bought a spare, and haven't been caught out yet. The memory card I bought has capacity for thousands of images, and it slots into the back of my Mac, so transfer is a doddle. I downloaded a couple of free image editing programmes onto the Mac, and can be kept happily engaged for hours tinkering with my images. But the camera itself offers many settings, and when I feel the mood I can tinker with colour balance, exposure, speeds etc, and do the creativity bit up front, which is fun. In short, I love this camera. It looks quite understated by contrast with what's out there, and for me it can deliver more than I expect to be able to use. It's worth spending time getting to know the function buttons, which seemed a bit overwhelming at first, because it opens so many possibilities in use. It's lighter and smaller than a mirrored slr, so isn't cumbersome, and in simple shoot mode it's as easy to use as the simplest compact.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
