The TG585V8 possesses a firewall which is integrated with Hyper-NAT and minimises unwanted service impact. This feature facilitates the inspection of packets and also logs local caches and remote servers for the possibility of security breaches. In addition, the security features of the Thomson Wireless G Router include high network security, Wired Equivalent Privacy encryption, Wi-Fi protected access, and a registration button for users.
