A basic Cutting Mat to protect work surfaces.
There are many self sealing/self healing cutting mats on the market (which are ideal for modellers, as one can perform intricate marquetry without leaving a mark on the mat or your table top). These mats are by far the cheapest that I have found, although these mats are much thinner than some of the more expensive makes. So be careful when applying pressure to make a particularly strong cut. Can stand alot without "wounds"
