Great answer for alarm system cell access.
First, these cards are available in different $ amounts, and that will be the monthly cost you will have (well, unless you go over) each month. If you purchase a $10 card, you must refill it with at least $10 each month for the card to remain active, SO BUY THE LEAST EXPENSIVE ONE for your needs. Otherwise, this is a great way to keep your alarm (or whatever else needs cell service) alive and well. At 2 cents a text, a $5 card is good for 250 texts/month. I strongly recommend you setup for automatic refill so you don't invalidate the card if you forget to reload it. Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because details are not disclosed before purchase and there is not user agreement online. A Way to Extend the Life of Unlocked 2G Only Devices.
This card and the service that comes with it supports 2G, 3G, 4G, & LTE. Since AT&T has shut off all 2G service, many persons (with devices that have 2G only communication ability) have been left with devices that cannot communicate in the USA via AT&T. Simply buy, activate, and install this card in any cellular device (that is not locked to the AT&T network) and you should again have full functionality in the USA where T-Mobile provides a tower signal. As things stand today, your first year of essential low usage service (typical of security devices) or will cost you $60.00 for Airtime, SMS, MMS; plus nominal $3.99 shipping per SIM card. Doesn't Work in Danmini YA-500 GSM Alarm System
Alarm system was working fine with ATT SIM. However ATT stopped supporting 2G, so alarm stopped texting alerts. Tmobile still supports 2G, but Speedtalk SIM which uses tmo did not work. Speedtalk has been unable to resolve this problem.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Simple service for IoT
Not many prividers will give service for alarm ststems, GPS trackers, child monitors, etc. They want to lock you into a plan and device serial number. They charge many times what speed talk does. $5/MO For my home security system. I have cable/wifi but it goes down time to time, so does the power.
