  • Simple, small and perfect for games console / tv from a powerline network adapter setup

I bought the switch so that my son's Xbox and the smart TV could both use the single port powerline adapter behind the TV as I couldn't find a twin port powerline adapter small enough to fit there. To set it up I plugged the cat 5 cable from the powerline adapter into port1 on the switch, plugged the XBox into port 2, the TV into port 3 and then plugged the switch into the USB socket on the TV to power it. The lights started flashing on the switch straight away and we were good to go, no configuration or anything. The switch is so small it sits behind the TV along with the cables so keeps the TV "clean" on the wall with no extraneous cables hanging down. The device is very small, very simple and perfect for the job I would buy again. Delivered within the expected time.

  • Great little switch

The one shown was black, but the one delivered was white, otherwise it's a great little compact switch that fits nicely out of sight and just works. Costs about £5 a year in electricity if on 24/7, which is one reason why I went for 100mbps instead of 1Gbps switch as I didn't need the extra speed and this uses less electric.

  • Small, low powered (5V 0.6A) and simply works

Bought to be powered by the the TV. It is therefore on when the TV is. It has worked for the last couple of weeks without complaint.

  • Ideal for my TV needs

I run a Raspberry Pi with OpenElec for viewing recordings on a MythTv server, have another box for other online media, but only put in one Ethernet cable to the TV. Now, with a dual USB lead from the TV to the RPi, and this switch powered from the RPi USB, I can use both without messing about - and only the second box needs a separate power supply. This seems a little overpriced for what it is, but I figure they made sure the switch is rated to you less than 500mA, and so I don't waste time researching other switches or lead polarities. So, thanks to supplier for a great bundle.
