Fantastic image quality and feature set
There's a reason the KS models cost considerably more than the UE models, that come in around £500-£600. They're night and day. The black levels the Quantum Dot KS8000 produces are stunning, bordering on OLED quality with your settings calibrated properly. This leads to really accurate colour representation. Motion clarity is perfectly smooth with absolutely zero judder, but you may wish to disable a lot of the motion enhancement settings, or suffer from that weird soap opera effect where everything looks like it's running at 48fps. I personally hate it.
In terms of features, this set has one especially clever trick up it's sleeve, where by it detects what devices are connected and automatically controls them with the included Samsung Smart Remote. Usually this would be handy but not especially impressive. Then I realised it was able to control my Xbox One, and my mind was blown. I assume it's doing it via HDMI, but you have full control of the home screen, and all menus with the TV remote. Very cool indeed.
HDR performance is probably where this set most differentiates from cheaper £500 ones. The peak brightness it can achieve in HDR mode is almost blinding, but without washing out the blacks, to ensure there's enough contrast to deliver a full range HDR image, not a condensed estimated one like you see on some lesser HDR sets.
It's aesthetically beautiful with a tiny bezel and stylish stand, and also uses Samsungs Connect One box, so you don't need to trail four HDMI cables to the back of it, just one cable, which then allows you to connect your devices out of sight somewhere.
I really cannot praise this TV enough, that it retails for around the £1100 mark is almost like stealing it, though you can even get a refurbished model for around the £800 mark. That is a total no brainer cost wise.
