Great for a quick pick up
This vacuum is easy to grab for some quick tidying around. It isn't so great on hard floors though, the main reason I got it. It seems to mostly push bits around or fling them behind itself when I am trying to clean up the kitchen after preparing a meal. It does great on the short carpets, pulling up more fine dust (in turbo mode) than the full size plug in unit that I have. It only lasts a few minutes before the battery goes, preventing me from doing an extended vacuum session, but this is not necessarily a bad thing. It charges back up pretty quickly. It blows away any other 'dust-buster' type hand vacuum I have ever used. The long tube allows me to reach places without bending down or getting a ladder, and that is a great feature. Could be better
I think the battery could last a lot longer than it does. I have a pretty small 2 bedroom house and can't finish the job on one charge. The dirt collection container could be a little bigger. I have to clean it out by hand or remove the whole container. Great vac but hard to push on rugs
This V6 is my second Dyson Slim cordless vac. Great suction, with shorter run time ( 17 min) than my previous model DC59 (20 min). However, suction is so powerful, it makes the unit hard to push across a rug. Works OK on bare floor. In addition the "extra suction feature" does not clearly indicate if it is "on" or "off" once you engage the button. There is no indicating light or means for you to know it is working on high suction mode ( and for only 6 min.) Otherwise is the best stick vacuum cleaner I have ever owned. Would not recommend it for elderly citizens with diminished upper arm strength who plan to use it on rugs.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Refurbished

light wight and easy to use
Small, light and easy to use. bought to take care of carpeted stairs which it is not very good with. needs more suction to lift carpet, clean properly and keep roller moving. Perfect replacement for the broom and more fun to use
It's 100 times better than the floor broom because it picks up all the dirt rather than scatter dirt into the air. I actually clean more often because it's easy and almost fun to do it. It does not totally replace a full size AC Vacuum though.
