Perfect solution to unreliable line filters
I bought this after upgrading to fibre broadband and discovering that there was an intermittent problem with our master socket. The speeds were usually fine (around 36Mbps on a 39Mbps connection) but would occasionally drop to around 7Mbps. happened to be on the phone at one point when it happened and heard a bit of crackle in the background. Wriggling the line filter created a lot of noise, a dropped internet connection, then a reconnect back to normal. Obviously the faceplate had a problem, so decided to do away with the line filter "dongles" and fit an interstitial plate - I can live with the odd phone crackle but interference on the broadband is a pain! This arrived quickly and was a very easy install. There were no screws in the pack, which I mentioned in my feedback, but the seller was very quick to message and rectify as they were supposed to be included. Even without the screws the interstitial plate fitted securely and worked perfectly. Connection speed on testmy dot net has increased from 36Mbps average to just under 38Mbps. Not a huge jump, but significant enough to be real and about as good as it's going to get on a 39MBps line! It also allows you to remove the filters on any extension phones you have, which neatens everything up nicely :) The plate is absolutely recommended even if you don't think you have a problem, and the seller is absolutely recommended for his very quick response to a very minor (in fact, completely unimportant) problem!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Improved my Broadband Signal by fitting this new Faceplate
I read on line how I can improve my Broadband signal by upgrading to this BT Face plate. It was so simple to fit. No wiring required. All I had to do was undo two screws and swap the old Face plate with this new one. It was worth the effort as my broadband download speed has improved slightly. Excellent VDSL speeds (80 Down/20 Up) with this faceplate.
A really neat unit which fits nicely over the master socket. This unit contains proper impedance matching transformers, to ensure the it presents the optimal impedance to the VDSL modem, versus the POTS side of the splitter. I would highlight recommend this faceplate splitter for anybody looking to upgrade from ADSL to VDSL and I would go so far as to say this is probably the best VDSL filter/splitter currently available in the UK, from all the research I have done.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Easy to instal
The product is very easy to install, no wires need to be moved. One point to note is if you are replacing one of the older type filters, then you will need the original bottom plate or a replacement, and you will need to rewire it. Worth a try to increase ADSL speed
Fitted in under 5 mins, just 2 screws, no need to move wires, the new faceplate has a slot in the bottom to pass the existing wire thru without disconnecting. ADSL up from 6 Mbps to 8 Mbps, it is the second one of these I have done, last was 7 to 11 Mbps, the improvement seems to come from replacing all the filters around the house with just one in the new faceplate.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Does the job
Does the job of stopping your telephone extension wiring from interfering with your broadband by filtering it at the source.
