Recently built pond
We built the pond this spring and wanted a pump to give a small waterful, this pump was perfect gave just the right force of flow for the pond which is only 6'x 4' plus a bog area to the left end. Perfect.

Hozelock 1400 LPH pump
I bought this to replace a Jeboa pump which ran for several years until it started playing up recently. Saw the reviews for this, which despite warnings of there being no English translation in the guide and it's price, thought that it would be an improved replacement. It looks sturdy enough when it's encased in it's protective cover, however, when you remove the pump from this - for example, when cleaning, it's small and disappointing. It works OK. It's trial and error getting the correct settings for pump flow to filter box and water feature which can only be done by having the unit in and out of the pond. The fountain feature holes clogged up after just a few hours (the pond water is clear). There is no filtration medium in the cage in which the pump is housed and this is no doubt why particles have entered and caused the blockages. I have used a coarse wiry nylon scourer medium to give at least a first line of defence on whatever enters the pump. A bit disappointed in this as I expected more for my money.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
