I bought this as my dad also has one the same and likes it. It is pretty tough and easily chews up quite thick branches with ease. Because it has a worm drive cutter it is much quieter than the fast bladed versions.
My only complaint is that it is not very good at leafy material, such as hedge cuttings or the last part of a branch with all the leaves on the end. All that happens here is the leaves sit in the hopper and don't get shredded. You can get round this by adding another stick when you are getting to the leaves. This way you can have a constant stream of shredding going on.
I bought mine for 50 quid and I am happy with what I have for that price.
It's very quiet and economical. I wouldn't recommend it for very large quantities or for large diameter branches (more than 2 cm). It will take in branches with leaves on just not leaves on their own. The branches need to be relatively straight (or broken down to such) to fit through the feeder. It's powering through my garden roughage!
