working back brake!
I have a 1991 steel touring bike with cantilever brakes. Not sure what the brake style is called and have not found exactly the right blocks. These looked close, and are cheap enough to just try and see. They fit on the back but I would need more spacers to make them fit on the front, and then I might need a longer bolt for that to really work. But the front brake still work acceptably with the old blocks and the back was the one that really wasn't working any more. I seem to now have much more stopping power, and am less concerned about crashing into a car on the narrow steep hill that I live on! Yay!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great replacement pads.
Great pads, exactly as pictured. Were easy to fit, just remove your old pads, put these in, get them aligned with your wheel rim and use an allen key to tighten them up. These made a massive difference compared to my old worn pads. Highly recommended.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Good blocks but different washers required
Good brakes shoes and an improvement over some unbranded ones i bought on ebay. The split spring washers that come with them are too small dia though and can deform in the brake arm slot. Jag wire brake blocks

Good brakes.
Bought thies brake blocks for a bike my doughter loves. It is a 1980s 20 inch wheel with old fashioned usles leavers and calapers, it could not stop your grand mother gatting out of bed. I bought thies brakes and i could not believe how good they are, then my doughter used them and her hands are much weaker than mine, a bang! The were amasing. Good stopping power. I didn't think they would be so good from from the word go, but they are brilliant .having changed my drop bars to Butterfly comfort bars l had to change the brake levers of coarse The difference in stopping power was immediately better .But l thought my old blocks had seen better days so brought a new set from Hopkinson's .they came quickly and l put them straight on .
