Perfect camcorder for transferring old analog Video8, Hi8 and Hi8 XR tapes
My original Handycam was the Sony CCD-TR200, a great recording quality early Hi8 stereo analog video camera. Transferring tapes using the CCD-TRV75 is much easier than with my original camera. What do I like it more: - Old tapes can be problematic. My tapes kept contaminating camcorder head. The playback head and tape transport of the CCD-TRV75 is much easier to clean than my original camera. Better than using a cleaning tape, just remove two screw and have easy access. Perfect image is easy to recovered in 5 minutes by cleaning as shown in this great video: How to repair a MiniDV camcorder that doesn't record or play by Dr Cassette - The nice color LCD screen can be rotated to be seen from the front or the back. Easy control to display or not the time meter. Has controls for sound level and brightness on it. - Preserve stereo sound. - Preserve Hi8 resolution when using S-Video cable. - Convenient power adapter direct cable connection, no battery required.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
