Second hand beauty.
The best thing about the Panasonic DMC TZ-18 is the Leica Lens which captures images beautifully and the fact that it is truly a pocket camera which is easy to take anywhere. I bought mine second hand for £55 and it arrived in immaculate condition. It can be used fully automatically, in program mode, aperture mode or shutter mode which gives you some flexibility and it is much faster to focus and zoom than my phone particularly indoors at parties etc. I just wish compact camera makers could sort out their flashes which are inevitable too bright and bleaching. However, this is great for the price and well worth it if you want backup for your main camera or just something more portable which has a bit more flexibie than your phone.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Light and versatile
Leica lens, Panasonic quality build, both hard to better. Great wide angle, great zoom. Image stabilization excellent, though a steady hand helps a lot. Good in dim light. Not idiot proof (nothing is) and you can improve your shots enormously by learning a little photography technique. Resting the camera on (eg) a wall or parapet and using the timer gets great night shots.
