Additional InformationThe smash hit comedy MEET THE PARENTS is paired here with itÆs the successful sequels, MEET THE FOCKERS and LITTLE FOCKERS. MEET THE PARENTS stars Ben Stiller as the unfortunately named Greg Focker, a neurotic nurse intent on marrying his girlfriend, Pam (Teri Polo). But when the couple visits Pam's family home for her sister's wedding, he must first win the approval of her father, Jack (Robert De Niro), an overprotective ex-CIA agent. Before long, the awkward Greg and the suspicious Jack go head-to-head, resulting in hilarious scenes that feature a lie detector test, a suburban car chase, a toilet-trained cat, and a mean game of water volleyball. As the misunderstandings and mistakes reach an almost nightmarish peak, it seems as though Greg may never win over Pam's unflinching guardian. Featuring the inspired pairing of Robert De Niro and Ben Stiller (and an excellent appearance by Owen Wilson), director Jay Roach's clever comedy exemplifies every man's worst fears about courtship.
Director Jay Roach keeps the jokes razor sharp with the hilarious sequel MEET THE FOCKERS. This time around, young engaged couple Pam (Teri Polo) and Greg (Ben Stiller) are getting their parents together a few months before the wedding. Greg nervously plans out every detail of the trip, only to be usurped by Pam's domineering ex-CIA-man father (Robert DeNiro). Not only has he purchased an RV, insisting they'll be driving from New York City to the Fockers' home in Miami, but he's bringing along his perfect baby grandson. When they finally arrive at the Fockers' house, Greg's parents, Bernie and Roz (Dustin Hoffman and Barbra Streisand), turn out to be sex-addicted hippies and not at all what the Byrnes (DeNiro and Blythe Danner) had expected. With one pitfall after another, the film takes the concept of awkward in-law experiences to new heights, from stories about past sexual experiences to detailed discussion of current ones.
The Fockers latest outing in LITTLE FOCKERS rejoins Greg (Ben Stiller) and Pam (Teri Polo), the proud parents of two adorable twins after ten years of marriage. But money is tight, and in order to keep his family afloat, devoted nurse Greg takes a second job working for a drug company. But that development doesn't sit well with Jack (Robert De Niro), whose previous suspicions regarding his hapless son-in-law soon come back in full force after learning of this development. With the twins' birthday fast approaching, the proud parents invite the entire clan over to celebrate in style, including Kevin (Owen Wilson), who still carries a torch for his pretty ex Pam. As the festivities get under way, Greg takes every opportunity available to prove to Jack that he's fully capable of providing for his family. Now Greg has one last chance to prove that he's trustworthy. Should he fail, the circle of trust will be broken for good. Harvey Keitel, Laura Dern, and Jessica Alba co-star.
ReviewsTotal Film - Impossible to resist., The Sun - [A} welcome addition to the Focker family., Radio Times - It's far from intellectually taxing, but Little Fockers is much funnier than it deserves to be., Los Angeles Times - One of those relatively rare comedies that's at once puerile, charming and very funny throughout., E! Online - The personalities are exuberant, the situations humorous, the slapstick worth a chuckle or two., USA Today - It's a silly good time, and that's something these days., News Of The World - Oh happy days! A comedy sequel right up there with the original, Empire - [T]here are inevitable moments when Hoffman or Wilson get real laughs.

  • A laugh a minute

Originally only saw "Meet the parents" but was completely taken with the film, One of the best American comedies that I have ever seen. From start to finish it is one long laugh. De Nero is outstanding as the ex CIA man with the deep rooted suspicions of a lifetime in the service, The rest of the cast are superb, each in their own area and play off each other perfectly So taken with this film that I have bought the triple set.
