  • much admired

this series was and still is one of the best i have ever watched and i thought there were fine performances all round especially the role of penny by jan francis. as an old 'rocker' i liked the references to eddie cochran and buddy holly. the writer john sullivan is sorely missed.

  • Timeless Humour

Followed the original series in the 80s & found it just as funny 30 yrs on. A few of the lines are a bit non PC for C21st, but it's gentle humour hasn't dated at all. In it's time it was a lovely antidote to the harsh realities of the early 80s and it is even more of a magical escape from the grim life of 2017 Britain.

  • Brilliant series

Bought recently for my husband's birthday. Was a little disappointed that it wasn't sealed or cellophaned as would expect new product to be,so not 100% sure if it was actually new or used. However, it played ok.

  • Good entertainment, feel good, funny

A great favourite of mine in the ‘80’s as a teenager! Even the theme tune fills me with great feelings of youth and the happy days of many years ago!

just one of the all time favourites from my teens. Still loved it all these years later. ( just don’t google Paul Nickolas now / scary)

  • Just as I remembered!

I bought this as a birthday present for my mum as we always loved the programme when it was on in the '80s. We watched it over the last couple of weeks and have laughed just as much as we did the first time round. My nephew (20) also saw an episode and enjoyed it too. Sadly, they just don't make programmes like this anymore! And now I feel very old for saying that but it's true!
