Good value but low output
The quality of this mic is great considering it's modest cost and it certainly punches above it's weight with built in USB interface meaning that you can record directly onto the PC The only negative is that for speech, this mic is not sensitive enough and this means that you have to increase the level on the PC bringing with it more background and hiss. This gives a very poor signal to noise ratio in real use. I have tried several different pieces of software including the package that came with the Mic but found the best results with Adobe Audition. This low signal level means more work to do in Adobe Audition to clean up the files and zero out background hiss during the edit. When all is said and done this is a budget mic and so I should not be surprised that it has some shortcomings and after all, if you are a singer and you really belt out a tune then this mic will be brilliant for you!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Good mic for the price
I was considering purchasing an audio interface and microphone separately for my home studio, but being on a budget was pleased to see this mic in my searches with interface built in.
