A good double grade sharpening stone
I found this sharpening stone and guide easy to use . The guide has graduations on the side to give correct angle for planes and chisels .I have only used it on two planes at present and they have come back as new. as for durability i can't answer that as i i have only had it a couple of weeks. it comes with it's own storage box which keeps it tidy. Great and easy to use.
Nice plastic box, the oilstone is very flat and has 2 different grades. The sharpening guide however is also well made, but the closeness of the 2 bearing rollers does allow a little bit of twist when using, resulting in a slightly uneven edge. This set is spot on. Its got my chisels and planer blades all sharp now.
For the price you can't go wrong. My chisels needed a lot of work 17 hours later they are as good as new. I was going to take them to a shop to have them sharpened as they was that bad. But with this kit. It has saved me a lot of money. I can now uses my very fine stone. So we'll happy. Thank you.
