A must have Tool for home framing
Before I ordered the Logan 350-1 Mat cutter. I did lots of researching and YouTube video searches on this item. I decided to go ahead a try it out, I have to say I am so happy and thankful I took the chance. It has to be one of the best and useful purchases on tools I have ever made. I have just started a new hobby in Autograph collecting in which with some I wanted to frame. I tried one with a craft knife and a ruler and free hand cut along the ruler. The result wasn't great I wanted to make the displays professional looking. Like I had just brought from a store. With the Logan 350-1 mat cutter this is exactly the results I have achieved. A great and professional look to my frames. I have used this tool on complex frames. The Logan 350-1 is easy to use and makes work so much more faster and accurate to. A must have tool for any home framer with a hobby like me or even to be used on a small weekend business. I would definitely recommend and will definitely be buying Logan products from now on. The 350-1 is 32" long so will do a great range of mat board. I use it for 26"x19" frames and it works a treat. If you want something a little bigger for larger size mat boards and frames then take up the Logan 450-1 it's over 1 metre long and this will do any size mat board you can buy. How did I manage without this.... 2019 best buy
Where do you start..... straight out of the box this kit performs accurately and consistently as everything is true from the first cut and you end up with a professional quality cut time after time... End stops are a godsend when you are cutting several similar sized mounts coupled with the sliding mat guide, the 50cm ruler is also accurate for squaring up as I predominately use 50cm x 50cm frames cut from A2 matt board The hinged guide rail is solid and accurate with a channel for the 2 cutters (straight & bevel) included along with a few blades to get you started. Build quality is solid, calibration of the tool is accurate making the operation and use simple..... as long as you follow the basic rules of cutting from the back of your mountboard... Id love an extension to the mat guide beyond the 11cm maximum border width for simplicity but it doesn't prevent me from cutting any size window it just makes me work harder / smarter..... I would give this product 5 stars every time …. I have bought cheap cutters in the past and spent a fortune in the process only to be disappointed always thinking these were expensive... How wrong I was...Very cheap for what you get… This is my best buy for 2019 without a doubt...

A great bit of kit for the hobbiest
I have considered buying a mount cutter for several months. I eventually took the plunge with the 350-1. I looked at the lower model but the inclusion of straight cutter was worth the extra cash. It arrived in good time and you could see with the packaging that it was well put together and inside was as good. The different measures and runners all perform with very little play allowing really accurate cuts, although trimming really tiny amounts due to mis-measurement on my part was a bit of a struggle. A really good bit of kit that is crowned with access to the Logan website that gives lots of useful tips and guides both written and in video. You often find when watching a demo on how to use an item, 'the expert' makes it look really easy but when you get it home it's impossible to use and practising 6 hours a day you might get the hang of it in a couple of years! Excellent kit and well worth the money.
Maybe more expensive than I would have liked to spend on a cutting board, but having used it for a few weeks, and having cut about 40 mounts (many of them double mounts), I think it’s worth every penny. The instruction booklet was way too confusing, so I looked at a few YouTube videos that explained how to use it. After a few practice goes I learned how to use it very quickly. The mounts look very professional, and double mounts are also easy, quick, and look great. The board and cutting implements all seem sturdy and should last a long time. I’ve bought some extra blades as I’m sure the 5 that come with the kit Will blunt eventually although the first ones are still cutting well. Quality piece of kit.
Does what it's meant to do. Worth taking time to set the blade height correctly as this appears to affect getting a good clean corner.
