Bird feeder review
I bought this bird feeder because it looked sturdy and well made. On the whole it's pretty good. I must say though that one of the metal tubes didn't fit into the top part so I had to make an inner sleeve myself which was a little irritating. Good price but some minor niggles
The product was a good price and arrived quickly. Overall it is decent value for money and of decent quality However, having put it up, it is quite wobbly, and I've needed to wedge some stones in the hole in the ground, to give it more stability, which seems to work. Be aware that the attachments holding the seed trays etc are quite difficult to adjust, and that they leave scrape marks (that can't be removed) on the support pole if you try and move them once they've been fitted. My feeding station.
This is a solid and very good quality feeding station, robust and well painted. My only criticism and it is only little is that I would like have seen an extra couple of sections included or made available to purchase. When the fully laden feeders are hung from the station it can be a little top heavy in a wind, you therefore have to push the ground spike considerably deep into the ground. This makes the station a little too short for my liking and a little more attractive to neighbourhood cats. This is a great product which has done exactly what I wanted. I can now sit and watch a variety of different birds come and dine just outside my window. Good value. A massive attraction to the birds in my garden. Looks good. Strongly made. A bit hard to understand how to put the attachments on but once you've mastered one, the rest are easy. A bit wobbly on the joints.Needs support if putting straight into the earth. I put mine through the hole of a heavy plant holder and surrounded it with rocks inside to steady it.I also added a slinky to prevent the squirrels climbing up!
