Not worth the hassles but decent enough
The drawer once built are fine. It's not a straight forward build though there is a lot of work. 3 pieces were damaged, split, poor cuts, poor manufacture and poor quality timber. You get what you pay for. Yes it's value for what you pay but the hassles getting the repairs done out weighs the value I'm afraid. I couldn't recommend these for general public building. We bought 2 sets and one set was perfect, the other was a disaster and meant buying other timber to repair the damaged parts.

Good quality, looks nice, well made, but 50 minutes to erect...no. 4 hours later, realised it would be better if the holes were pre drilled better. Should have used a bradawl. Really hard to screw in. Two experienced intelligent adults. If he was not strong enough, I would have had to give up as got palm blister. Very solid piece of furniture but with flaws.
You can look forward to a lot of work putting this together. Also, make sure you have a someone capable of carrying it up the stairs as it is very heavy! I bought two and the first one took most of a day to assemble, the second took about 4 hours, however I was gluing all of the dowel joints which added to the time. The quality is not bad, although some of the inner pieces (drawer slides) were of low quality - one had a missing edge that was supposed to be square but was actually broken off because the wood it was cut from had a defect in that area. I was also disappointed that the bottom of the drawers and the back are made of hardboard - a thin ply would have been much better. I am also not a fan of the angled screws used to pull the pieces together - some of them would not go in at the correct angle and started to come through the outside even though I was using a hand-driven screwdriver not a powered one, as recommended.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Cheap but not Cheerful!
I think every one else bought a different set of drawers to me! Very flimsy and cheaply made, the drawers don't line up and its very rickety. I'm a carpenter by trade and just wanted a set of drawers a specific size to burn and paint and age so the drawer misalignment is perfect for the look i was after but if you are looking for something decent then spend some money and buy something decent! SIMPLES!
