The Class 45s were built at British Rail’s Derby and Crewe Works between 1960 and 1962. Although withdrawals of the Class 45 fleet began in the early-1980s, No. 45049 was one of the longest surviving examples and was not withdrawn until October 1987.

Great model capturing the might of the real thing.
A great model with improved detail and mechanism over the previous versions. Smooth and strong runner. Clear and crisp printing of numbers, nameplates and other fine details. An ideal model for any 1970's-80's railway. I was lucky enough to buy this at a bargain price but still worth the RRP.
