The dji Mini 2 is a great wee drone. This machine has the ability to fly higher and further than the regulations allow. It is extremely simple to use and control. The information on the screen (you need your phone to be the screen) is comprehensive and useful. The camera takes good quality photos and video, and can be set to auto or manual if you want to try something a bit more interesting with it. With the Combo pack there is a good set of extras that really are essential. These include a carry case and extra batteries etc. This drone comes neatly into the under 250g category so you can fly it with only the minimum of registering and passing an easy multiple choice safety test. Great little bit of kit
I have flown much larger and more expensive drones. I was pleasantly surprised at the capabilities of this piece. Extremely easy to set up. Connect and register. As expected it is a little effected by higher wind and at distance hard to keep your eye on. Imagery is great. Fly more combo a must. Great to carry around for those times when that moment just happens. Loads of great advice on the net. Superb Value
This is my second drone - the first being an approx £100 outfit because I was a beginner and afraid I could lose it. Actually it was a good drone though the app developed all sorts of glitches over time and weighing around 800 g the latest regulations made it almost unusable in areas I might want to fly it. Reviews suggested the DJI mini 2 was well worth the extra over the mini. Flies up to 30mph and for half an hour so can cope with wind conditions beyond some drones. Takes a while to get used to it and learn all you can do with it and get familiarity with the software and I am still learning. Went for this one because it was a like new A grade and saved a decent amount of cash. Cost more than my last drone but it can do so much more and is fantastic value for money in my book - especially my fly more combo version. A couple of points for anyone thinking of buying. I found I needed a new phone - although my Motorola appeared to be OK as it runs a sufficiently recent version of Android it would not install the software and DJI said it had to be a phone on their supported list and it wasn't. I was about to send it back as I did not want to spend any more but the reviews looked so good I took the plunge - so glad I did. Huawei P30 was my choice and a vast improvement on Motorola which I think another family member will take over as it is an OK phone. You might want to check the DJI supported list of phones before buying. It is colored light grey and is easy to lose sight of if you look down to the screen and back up when it it is say more than 150-200 yards away. It maintains video contact superbly - supposedly up to 6km but we are not supposed to fly out of line of sight. If you do lose sight of it you can see what it sees very clearly and the screen shows the track it has taken and the straight route back to home + the RTH works faultlessly so far. There sure is a temptation to fly it a long way out on video only. My previous drone was larger and black so I could easily keep sight of it out to around 600yards. The combo pack with 3 batteries charger and carry bag is so handy makes this a much more practical proposition than my old drone which needed a back pack.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Refurbished
