An excellent product of good quality
Quality of manufacture is excellent and the finish looks very durable, though time will tell. It has certainly not just had a quick blow over with some paint. The 10mm Rawlbolts are heavy enough to withstand all but the most determined attack. I bought this item as a second line of security, with a HD bike chain and padlock, for my car trailer, which was stolen and recovered damaged earlier this year. So now it has the lock on the towhitch and is also chained to the ground anchor, which is bolted into a deep, heavy concrete slab. If they try to tow it away again, they won't get far - about the the length of the slack in the chain. I chose to mount it horizontally so that any pull on the chain would be at right angles to the bolts. The alternative, of mounting it vertically on a sandstone wall, seemed less secure, as the stone is comparatively soft and the pull would be in line with the bolts, so they might come out fairly easily. The concrete is a good hard mix. One lesson learnt in drilling the holes for the bolts was not to drill too deep. A review of this product on Amazon mentioned drilling a bit deeper, so that there was a space for the dust. I got a bit carried away with my SDS hammer drill on the second hole and the Rawlbolt outer went down into the hole, where it was too deep for the bolt to catch the thread and lift it to the surface. Problem solved with a long 10 mm coach bolt but an extra 10-15 mm depth is enough!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Good anchor point
Small enough to be discrete, large enough to accomodate an Oxford HD Chain. And strong enough to be secure. I would recommend using longer, much more heavier duty shield anchors. I used 6" I would also recommend grinding the heads down so Mole Grips can't get a grip to loosen then. I'd also recess it if poss to stop crowbars getting iside the hoop easily.
