Everyone needs at least one.
I own 3 other eco-drives and love them all. This model is different, and I was a bit puzzled as to setting time and date, but Citizen has official spots on YouTube - the one on the Proximity Pryzm was concise and accurate. Even though I use a flip phone and can't access the watch through Bluetooth (yet), never the less, the instructions guided me through the setting up process. Learning the watch and its functions is fun. I've also viewed spots on using one of my watches as a compass. More fun! I have used eco-drives since learning of them, I don't know, 30 years now maybe. My first spent a good deal of time wet from fly fishing catch and release. The watch case has wear from all the rugged stream-side use. I put it in a drawer for several years after I bought my second eco-drive and recently sent it in for repair for a battery. That is the ONLY problem I've had and it was my fault. Are you geek enough to handle this?
If you are a techno-geek, this may be up your alley. The complexity of even setting the time and date is astounding! It looks good and all, but I have been unable over the course of ten days to get the bluetooth time sync to function. Will it? I don't know. I finally set the time manually and gave up on leap year. You should keep in mind that Citizen has discontinued this series. They do have a number of helpful videos available on how to do settings. Beautiful large watch
Large watch face (which I love) with a bright blue background... This watch was Citizen’s attempt at making a smart watch (vibrates for notifications). It didn’t quite work but I funny care about that- it is a beautiful piece that I get compliments on every time I wear it. Proximity Prysm How to Use
Great product, however, when you first get the watch, call up Citizen support and have them walk you through resetting the watch and then they help pair the watch with your phone. iPhone users don't use the Blue icon app Citizen Eco-Drive Proximity 2.5, use the newer version which is the Black icon with Web Globe. You will not be disappointed. Once you leave your phone BT disconnects, you simply hit top button once. If it doesn't work then hit it again and second hand starts ticking then hit it again and it will go to the 40 after or 8 o'clock position, and BT will connect. BT connects when you see second hand go to 8 o'clock position. You will see it works when the right hand dial moves from off to "on".Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
