Does what it says (and more)
I bought this to replace an old garmin watch and separate bike computer as I'd had some problems swapping over in transition during a Triathlon. I'm impressed that it can be linked to my wifi and to my phone via Bluetooth, no more opening up the computer to download activities. Along with a heart rate strap, I now have more information than ever which I am slowly getting used to and will be using in my training. I'm yet to use it for a Triathlon, but the pre programmed activity setting will allow me to accurately time each element, as long as I remember to press the button! Battery life is excellent, it's lightweight there are some sensors I have my eye on for turbo bike sessions. Excellent piece of kit and more than happy with it.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great swimmers watch
I only use this for swimming so can't comment on the (very many) other features. I got this secondhand from ebay after my older Garmin 910 finally gave up. I considered buying a new watch but nothing could compete with the 920XT. These now sell regularly under £100 on ebay and are amazing value, nothing new in that price range comes close. From a swimmers viewpoint this has all I need. I'm a pretty decent swimmer, swimming 2K four times a week, mostly crawl but some IM. The 920 seems more accurate than other Garmin models I've owned and you can cusomise the screens to your hearts content. It does a much better job of managing intervals than my previous 910 and it's easy to see your actual total swimming time as well as your overall session time. You can measure all sorts of metrics that, even as a keen swimmer, I'll probably never use. You can connect it to the Garmin app on your phone via bluetooth and see more data if that takes your fancy. You can also update the custom screens during your swim session: the older 910 forced you to end the session before you could update. The problem with the 910 was the straps only seemed to last about 10 months, the 920 strap has been redesigned so hopefully that'll be less of an issue. I also add a Garmin Swim watch a few years ago but when the battery went flat it all went wrong. You replace the battery yourself and afterwards it leaked: dead watch. So if you're a swimmer some kind of rechargeable is the way to go. Overall highly recommended at the price.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

GARMIN Forerunner 920XT
I purchased the 920XT as I was told it was the best watch for tracking open water swims. I have worn it on several OW swims and have to say I'm impressed. With most watches there is a zig-zag line where the watch is under the water and the satellite tracking becomes ragged. The XT920 irons out the anomolies and gives a good track and accurate distance read out. I have compared it with tracking devices in my tow buoy and they are near identical.
