    Great one handed clamp

    Bought four of these clamps, they are great for clamping items when gluing up. They do not move the items like screw type clamps do when they are tightened. Have used them on numerous projects and I've only had them for a few days.

    Extra Hands

    As any DIYer or hobbyist like myself -as well as tradespeople, of course - clamps are essential pieces of kit in any toolbox. You could say that they are 'extra hands' and are extremely useful when you are gluing pieces together freeing you to work on other things. But you want clamps that don't slip, can be operated with one hand whilst holding the pieces of work in place with your free hand. You also want clamps to stay put once you have ratcheted them in place without them coming loose and firm enough to apply sufficient pressure until the job is done. These Irwin Quick-Grips do the job and they look smart, too!

    Surprisingly good.

    Past experience with this type of tool left me left me frustrated and disappointed - they lacked grip and proved unreliable. Finally, I thought I'd give a better known name the benefit of (considerable) doubt. Out of the wrapper they certainly didn't look any better; narrow gauge metalwork and plastic-ky - uninspiring. However, in performance, there was a world of difference. It's like having another pair of strong hands just when you need them. In my small workshop, where there's no room for tools that don't do the job properly, I can definitely make space for a few more of these! Thanks Irwin

    The measure of grip Irwin Clamp got

    The grip on this bad boy is as tight as my wife. When its between the claws in a tight grip, you, or item is not going anywhere till pressure is off. As well on this thing to ease up the grip is a lot easier then on my wife, and just for any future users, same application doesnt do any good when tested on my wife. The grip did not ease up she just kept on squeezing, still working on that issue will update later. Anyway Irwin makes some good stuff this is one ofthem. Thank you

    Irwin - excellent make

    My husband bought these for his woodworking and is quite happy with them, except that the parts that clamp on to the wood are plastic, rather than rubber. He hadn't noticed this or he would have bought the other sort. He believes, though this may not be the case, that this was the reason they were so inexpensive. Having said this, he is pleased that he has his clamps, and is using them. He would still recommend them.
