Robust item that will help ease the load of family laundry
Minky retractable double clothes line. A good quality item with two 15m lines. I have a pretty decent size garden but this does the job nicely. No more waiting for the previous load to dry before hanging another. I measured my garden before purchasing to ensure the length is sufficient. Allow for optimum drying space by mounting each line at different angles. Think about where the lines will actually run rather than just measuring your garden from end to end. Once the line is hooked, secure it by wrapping around the notches on the bottom of the housing. Note that the lines retract extremely quickly so ensure you have a good grip of the line to control speed and avoid any nasty surprises. Indeed it's so fast that I tend to keep the lines wrapped around the notches until I'm ready to retract. One minor criticism I have is that the instructions do not state the correct size of drill bit required for the supplied rawlplugs so I took great care by drilling the holes in stages to ensure a secure fit.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Not that robust
Not as good as a previous & different model used before. A lot cheaper but you can tell. You have to wind the washing round the feet at least twice before it is able to take the weight of a washing. It may be this one is faulty but it could also just be poorer quality. Other than that it serves its purpose. A well designed product, good value for money and fit for purpose.
Found this product to be very satisfactory. Like the fact that you can retract the lines into the housing unit after each use and the whole unit can also be removed very easily (useful during the cold months!!) by simply removing 2 pins. Perfect practical washing line solution
Replaced my old rotary line with this - great choice! Pros - easy & quick to fit (fitted it between 2 trees but could have used walls). Retracts so no unsightly washing line or hole in the lawn when we’re in the garden plus no need to use space to store it away. Takes plenty of washing ie full load. Yes it dips under the heavy weight of washing of course but a washing line prop sorts that out. I have an extendable prop from Addis which is excellent & doesn’t come undone or bend like the cheaper twist types, plus it’s British :). Good value, only one small flaw
Had 2 of these now and they are great. The wind back system never failed and had the first one for 3 years before needing to replace it. The only reason to replace it was the plastic parts that stick off the bottom that the line wraps around to keep it taught, they started breaking apart. Big enough for your small's!!

Minky
My first cat was called Minky. He was a slick grey beast with powerful claws who could cling onto your leg and not be removed until he was satisfied. He also, once, got his head stuck in a tin can out of the bin, but that's another story.
